Tube season ticket

How early can you buy a tube season ticket for next year, starting on 2 January 2007?

I was thinking about buying the ticket now before the prices go up, but having it dated from 2 January. The other complication I have is that the station I travel from, Hainault, is moving from Zone 5 to Zone 4 on 2 January. Can I buy a 1-4 zone now, at 2006 prices, to start on 2 January?? Thanks

you can buy your 2007 travelcard now. however, if you select the start date as 2nd january 2007 , the system will automatically charge you the revised rate.

you cant buy it in advance last time I tried it so you would have to buy on 1 january 2007 it sometimes is worth buying on the last day of the cheaper price even if you lose couple of days travel

You can buy whatever zones you want and pay extra til zone changes down I would as that must be cheapest way to do it
