holiday checklist

i'm going on holidays soon and have compiled a short checklist of girly things. i don't mean important things like tickets etc, but things like sun lotion, vaseline, tweezers, plasters, body lotion, shower gel, shampoo. what else can you add?

Why not do what the future Mrs skelly does and go and buy the entire contents of Boots the chemist, "just incase". And don't forget to take far too many clothes as well. I've just returned from a 4 day visit to London where she took 14 tops with her, 4 of them black. It must be a girl thing.

Oh, but seriously, if you're going abroad, take some string to make a washing line. Sometimes handy for drying towels, swim suits, etc.

I like your wife-to-be Skelly! Gotta have it all covered. My partner every year moans when I pack a box of those calypso juice drink things that you can freeze - then devours almost every one of them when he is over-heating by the pool!

On a recent trip to Croatia I didn't pack this new box of Durex I had in my bedside drawers because I thought that when you plan these things they never happen. As fate would have it I did get lucky, but the moment was interupted during my frantic search for protection (I even woke my mate up in the room next door). Thankfully I found one lonesome condom in the back of my suitcase, but by then a lot of the magic of the moment had gone. It's a schoolboy error I won't be making again.

Having recently been woken-up by my mate on holiday, looking for a condon. I thought that Post-It Notes with reminders would be the best thing to take on holiday, or leave behind in certain cases.

Leave-in hair conditioner, Resolve, Immodium, bobbles, nail varnish remover, baby oil (great on tanned legs and errr whatever else you might think of), deodorant wipes.

Ear plugs - because when you have finished making....your noises, you may not want to listen to everyone elses........

Disposable underwater camera as there may be times (boat trips, nights out in really 'busy' places) when taking an expensive or bulky camera won't be a good idea. (I bet you thought I was going to say 'disposable underwear..... now there's and idea!)

skelly.. it is definately a 'girl thing'. They also take as many pairs of shoes as they can. They only have two feet!!!!!
