currency exchange
I'm taking a Princess cruise to the Eastern Carribean. Will the majority of the Islands take US currency, or do I have to exchange ea. time. If so, before I leave or on the boat, or island itself?

For a fantastic site with loads of info go to http://boards.cruisecritic.com/index.php
There is a section for your cruise line which will provide info about dress code etc and then there is a section further down called Ports of Call where you can find out the best things to do/visit on each island.

Also, if this is your first cruise, a bit of advice. If you are covering all your on board charges with a credit card, make sure you tick the box on the embarkation form which says DO NOT let Princess charge you in your local currency (I'm assuming you area Brit, so this 's). You want them to charge you in US$ so they don't charge you a nice fat commission for working out the exchange rate. You will get a much better exchange rate off your credit card anyway. Also, on the last night, if you have any cash/travellers cheques left, go and pay off as much of your on board account as you can with these to save on the credit card exchange fees. It all helps!
