hand luggage

can someone please tell me if all is back to normal re hand luggage. wife and i are off to thailand on 3rd feb and want to know whats allowed, size, etc of hand luggage, we're flying with thai airways so if any one has travelled with them recently please advise, thank you.

We had a flight from Gatwick last week and security was very strict. Only 1 piece of hand luggage - no heavier than 6Kgs, handbags counted as one piece. No drinks or liquids of any form. Even lipstick had to go in a plastic bag for screening. All shoes to be removed and put through screening machine. Hope this helps
