leg room on planes

anyone know what the leg room is on Virgin planes, (or other airlines too actually!) in the standard cabin...unfortunately I cant afford to upgrade!!

I am flying to Thailand this year, hopefully.

Any recommendations would be great.

Eva Air have a good economy plus service, more room that their standard economy, but without the frills of business class service.
Virgin don't fly to Thailand, the closest they get is Shanghai

note. On virgin planes the seats infron of the doors only recline 1/2 as much as others due to first aid boxes stored behind. Hope this helps too.

Oh & dont go with Thai Air... We had no tv in the seats . But they may have changed since 2 years

From experience - BA are awfull. Malaysia Airline and Singapore airlines were very good. Singapore Air have on demand tv so you watch what you want, when you want, with the ability to pause and rewind too. These two involve a short connecting flight from either KL or singapore which is only about an hour and a half to southern thailand. Great service and lovely food (you get a menu, even in economy!!). I'm going with Eva in March and have heard good reports about it. Once in Thailand you can buy valium over the counter legally. A couple of them and you won't car how much leg room you've got!!! have fun , it's a beautifull country!

In flight entertainment on Thai is still very poor

I have flown many times with Thai and think they are the best, plenty of leg room in economy and great service. Flown with EVA and not as good. Ring Trailfinders or visit web site and they'll give you plenty of offers, like hotel for 3 or 4 nights and flight for about 500-600 sterling, I use this but dont take the hotel option, just ignore. Hope you understand. Trailfinders will explain all.

thanks everyone, I was told the quote we had was with Virgin but ap its not its with Singapore so happy with the answers above.
