Does Sweden allow non EU citizens to enter the country with only a one way ticket, no return ticket? I'm going to visit someone there and I'm not sure how long I'll stay so I don't want to buy a round trip ticket.

I think that the answer to your question has to be 'No'.

Sweden is a signatory to the Schengen agreement, so entry into Sweden entitles you to move freely between all of the Schengen countries. If Sweden tried to insist upon visitors holding a return ticket to the country from which they travelled, this would go against the spirit of the agreement.

Additionally, I can see nothing about a requirement for travellers to hold a return ticket on the visa page of the Swedish embassy. (Check to see if you require a visa):

If you're still not certain, e-mail the Swedish visa section in London:

or phone the embassy. (The number for the London embassy is 020 7917 6400).
