Skin sore to touch
2 Answers
I recently had a hip arthroscopy with debridement (a week ago) and everything is going fine and I'm on the road to recovery, I just have one little question. The skin on my thigh is sore to touch, almost like when you have the flu and you can't bear to have anything touching it. Is this because the nerves have been traumatised? And how long will it take to go?
I've got an appointment with the nurse in a few days so will be checked out then, but I'm just curious!
Thanks

If you ever recall cutting your finger quite badly, perhaps you can recall it being sore for a long time after the original cut has healed. I don't think it's always possible to state a recovery time as there are lots of pressure points around the body through which nerves run and sometimes for years afterwards a particular spot that has received a trauma can continue to be sensitive.
