Cheap shampoo
Doe cheap shampoo damage hair? I've started economising and although I'm still using a fairly good conditioner, I've started using a cheap supermarket own brand shampoo. In the last week I've noticed my hair has become much drier and less manageable. Is this just coincidence? Does a cheap shampoo really dry hair out even if using a good conditioner?
Or should I invest in a decent shampoo again?

I have very dry course hair and she says to wash hair at night and leave iconditioner on over-night and rinse in the morning. I do this at least once a week and it helps. I use fructus conditioner for dry/course hair - it's very good.
In the words of my hairdresser who is also a best pal (so she's not selling me anything) - the mixture of ingredients in cheap shampoo and is like using washing up liquid, it will strip your hair of all natural oils and dry it out completley. Even brands like Treseme!!!! I use TIGI honey and oatmeal for my long hair and it is in great condition as this stuff actually feeds the hair and it also doesn't contain and horrid silicone that weighs hair down and makes coloring harder to take due to 'build up'. those are others to avoid, like fructis, pantene, etc. On the times i have run out of TIGI she has suggested Neutrogena shampoo & Conditioner. Hope this helps.
well i got that stressed by the colour i went and had my hair cut quite short to rid the mass as it was really crappy to brush even with all the dyes and bleach now i will try the head and shoulders trick and hope it lightens off hey thankyou for your help and tips !! no doubt ill do exactly the same again when my hair gets longer do we ever learn lol thanks
