Yes. I have been twice and needed vaccinations both times. See here for details:

better to be safe then sorry.
I've been ten or eleven times and never had any jabs, nor problems that any jabs would have prevented.

But it does depend where you go. The Nile area for example is more of a health-risk area (I understand there are paticular Malaria issues there), rather than the Sinai desert (Sharm, and other dive destinations for example).
I've been there a few times and never had any; what you're most likely to get is gippy tummy [which is short for Egyptian tummy] from food that hasn't been properly cleaned or cooked; so take care with salads and unpeeled fruit and stick to bottled water. Depending where you are going, you might need to enquire about malaria precautions.
Apparently if you speak to your GP they will tell you thats its actually totally up to you wether you have them. The risks arent that high but if you would rather be safe then i would get them as youve nothing to loose. If your in real doubt speak to your doctor.
we went last year and were advised we needed Hepatitus and typhoid vaccines but not anti malaria tablets as the Nile area has been malaria free for over twenty years be careful about the drinking water and general food hygeine and you shopuldn't have any problems
