How much would you tip a self-employed hairdresser, working from her own home if she charges you 120 for highlights, cut and blow dry (that's for two people, me and my daughter). Thanks.
If you love the results she gives you, then it is a gift from you and your daughter. 10 from each of you would seem reasonable.
I give my hairdresser a tenner, as it will buy a nice bottle of wine for him. He does a fantastic job and I'm glad I found him :-) I just have a wash cut and blow dry btw.....
I must be tight then, as my hairdresser, who used to work in an upmarket salon, but is now a flight attendant, charges me 8.50, and I usually give her a tenner. I spend a fortune on good hair products, shampoo, conditioner etc, but as long as I get a good cut, I do the rest myself - even highlights. Dont have hours to spend in the hairdressers waiting for them to do it, and would not pay 45 for the privilege either.
I make my haidresser a cup of coffee as a tip, she`s my best friend and hasn`t charged me for over 20 years! How lucky am i!I buy her nice prezzies and flowers though just to show my appreciation, she`s the best :-)
Yeah a good tip for her is to lower her prices! lol
Just for a cut and blow dry, which is 17.50, I give my hairdresser 20. If i have anything else done I usually just round it up adding on a couple of quid. Maybe Im just tight too lol
Also, my daughter has her haircut at the same salon by the same hairdresser, my daughter is only 6 and when she goes in just to get her fringe cut, which they do not charge for, I give ny daughter a couple of quid to give the hairdresser to show her appreciation :)
120 seems like an awful lot of money for you both to shell out
I pay 25 to have my hair coloured so I usually tip 2-3 and 1 for the girl who washes my hair,Saturday girls need the tips believe me!
