i need help

i sent off for a first time passport back in april and i have phoned the passport place and they have told me that they have no record of receiving my application. im scared that it is lost in the post and my partner didn't do the check and send thing, so is there any hope of them receiving it or me even getting it back? i have my birth certificate and a change of name deed in with it.
can anyone help? thanks.

you should have either done it through the post office or sent it registered post,thieves are everywhere and a lot of mail goes missing at places like that unless its registered.
You can order a new birth certificate here http://www.gov-certificates.co.uk/?gclid=CLL5o _r_howCFQfUlAodKB6Ivw
Or you can contact the register office in the town you were born. That is probably quicker and cheaper.
Don't use that link above to get a new birth certificate, they charge �23 and it takes upto 3 weeks.

Get one from http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates / and they will charge �7 and you will get it in about a week.

Alternatively, you can order one from the register office where your birth was originally regsitered. Again, the charge is usually �&.
