Childrens sites for Germany

My daughter needs to collect information about a european country of her choice and write a 3 min speech on it.
She has choosen Germany and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any websites designed for children or child friendly about Germany or any other European countries?

This site is also good in terms of being more child friendly - I use it for lesson plans!
