Avoid the "attractions". Go to Fort Christmas, Cocoa Beach where thereis a great 'crab shack' for sea food. Canaveral Beach, Tosshatchee (I've probably spelled it wrong) National park, St. John River Air boat rides. Chillis Bar on the way out of Orlando does 2 for one beers. ENJOY

thanks for making me even more miserable!! myself and my family should have been in Florida now but had to cancel at last minute due to my mother in law been diagnosed with cancer unfortunately she is now in hospice and we really needed the holiday as well

Sorry to hear about your mum in law tigwig, we had lots of reasons why we shouldn't have gone last month but we did and now there are even more reasons why we shouldn't go now. However, we have a contingency fund so if one of us needs to zoom home we can.

To be fair its not all holiday. .. we bought a place out there for short time rental so last month we took our mums over there whilst we signed the documents (worse than taking children!!) and this time we are actually going to stay in "our" house for the 2 weeks. 3 adults 3 Kids - it not gonna be restfull!!
