staying in the usa

I want to go the the US for 2 years to stay with friends can anyone tell me what papers i need for this

It's unlikely that you'll be allowed to stay in the USA for 2 years. A B-2 visitor visa can be validated for an initial period of 6 months by the US Citizenship & Immigration Service. They then have the discretion to validate it for a further period of 6 months.

thank you Chris for the info one thing i now need to ask is do I need a return ticket if I want to apply longer or do I get a one way ticket

Thanks for the reply. Here's the information you need:
