taking holidays at work
1 Answers
hi, i work as a graphic designer - anyway my colleague broke his colllarbone and is off for 6 weeks, he is a close friend of mine. I had 2 weeks booked off at the end of June and have still got 6 days to take before September - (our boss is implamenting a new system and whoever hasnt taken their holidays by september loses what they have left)
I now feel really bad about being at home doing nothing for 2 weeks just making sure i get my holidays while the guys in the studio suffer.
The thing is I have new holidays in September of which i was hoping to take 2 weeks immediately to go to Ibiza - but although im perfectly entitled to all this time off I feel like , because we are short staffed and I am cramming in 4 weeks off work into such a short space of time that he will feel i am taking the p1ss.
I just wanted anyone elses views / opinions on what I should do. Should i just take the 2 weeks and ask for another 2 weeks in september or go in and ask to swap the 2 weeks in June for 2 weeks in September
I also feel like i worry too much, which may come accross in this question : )
