Where to get the best last minute deal
Hi all, we're thinking of getting a last minute deal this year but having never done it that way before we're not sure if it's best to go via the travel agent, teletext, sky travelshop etc etc. Anyone got experience of using the above for last minute? who gives the best deals? do any advertise really low prices and then hit you with loads of hidden extra costs etc etc.Would be grateful for any advice and details of experiences. Thanks.

Hi, hope it's not too late !
Speaking from experience, I have had some brilliant deals doing last minute hols - both from the internet & teletext.
Best advice I can give is:- keep your options flexible, go for a hotel holiday rather than a S/C one (as hotels are usually based on two sharing as opposed to S/C which quote a price for maximum occupancy) & the best time to get a good price is usually from around three weeks before you want to travel (bearing in mind that school holiday periods will always be more expensive !!)
Good Luck !!
