Wouldn't have thought so. What are you going to do? Walk around all the flight companies asking if they have any spare seats on any of their flights? It might have worked years ago but nowadays it seems to be that the cheaper seats are sold first. And even if you found a cheap flight you wouldn't have anywhere to stay at the other end. Better going to your local travel agent and seeing what they have on offer. Or have a look at some websites eg lastminute.com
Didn't think it happened anymore. You can get on a flight at the airport, I've done this several times, but offering accom I haven't heard of. Plus you always get stung case in point, easyjet flight from majorca, half empty and I needed to get back to the UK and it was 90 quid one way.
