If i am posting something to belfast from england will i need more than a first class stamp??

No - Northern Ireland is inland so costs no extra.
If it is just an ordinary letter, then just a first class stamp. If it is larger or heavier than an ordinary letter, take it to the post office. Belfast is in the UK
it depends on what you are posting -eg letter, parcel ...... you may have to pay according to the size/weight of your 'item', even for envelopes (new rules came in last year)
