Hi without doubt the cheapest and easiest way is to buy them online before you go. If you put in theme park tickets into any search engine it will bring up loads of sites where you can buy them and compare prices. Make sure you get sent the actual ticket though and not vouchers to exchange at the gates. If you buy on the gates it will cost more and you'll have to queue longer. By the way, I have been to Florida loads of times and recommend getting a 7 day hopper disney pass which is more than adequate and actually lasts 14 days not 7 and a flex ticket for the other parks The Ultimate disney tickets I have found are unnecessary unless you're lucky enough to be going for weeks on end as you can still have unlimited access to the 4 main disney parks with a hopper pass but just 1 visit to each water park. Any other queries don't hesitate to ask I just love talking Florida!!
never use the gate, that for sure.

you can pre-book using loads of websites, but try to get one recommended. And make sure you get tickets, not a voucher to exchange for tickets at the gate.

where are you staying ?
there are cheap ticket booths all around I-drive.
I bought my multi-park passes before I left, I found it easier to budget that way. I did get tickets for NASA from a booth in a mall though.
beware if buying cheap ones though, that at Disney and Universal they ask you to sign the back of the ticket AND you need to scan a finger/thumb every time you enter. (you choose which finger the 1st time to use the tickets), so if you have someone else's ticket, you won't get in.
I'd also really recommend buying one of the park guidebooks before you go.

i bought the Brits guide to Florida

sounds cheesy, but there was some really, really useful advice in it. ways to beat the Q's, maps, little bit about each ride, etc
We found it invaluable.
We always get ours online before we go too, the cheapest site was one simply called "buy theme park tickets", google for the address!
