My daughter's 5 year passport expires in 8 months time. We are travelling to the Staes for 10 days next week - so there will be atleast 7 month left on her passport at return date. I assume this will be OK with US Immigration?

Hi

There must be at least 6 months left on the validaty of the passport, so you are ok...JUST!!!

Have a good trip

Thank you for the confirmation.
Nooooooooooooo

The 6 months is a complete myth.

All that the US authorities require is that the passport is valid on your planned date of departure from the US. This applies whether you are travelling on a visa or using the vissa waiver scheme.

Some tour companies try to impose a longer period on their clients - why I've no idea - but US immigration do not.
