Passport Photo
I have a current adult passport and have definitely outgrown the hairstyle I had at 17!! I am 22 now. I have been all over the passport site which says nothing about how you just change your photo. The only amendment to passport it mentions is specifically 'name'
Has anyone any ideas!!

that has all the necessary info. I don't think you need to change your photo, we all change hair, but you need to look like the same person...ie if you look like a woman now, but then you looked like a girl, you had better change it, but passport renewal is 66 so it isnt cheap, only change it if you need to, unless yours will expire soon; a passport lasts ten yrs...hope this helps
Or you could do your hair like when you were 17 :-)

As Dzug says, the only way you can change it is if you apply for a completely new passport, in which case you'll have to declare the old one as lost.
The only time that passports can be replaced for a change of photo is in the case of children, whose passports can be replaced after five years.
I think it's standard form that a) you always look like a demented gerbil on your passport photo, b) officials always have a laugh at it, and c) you're not supposed to like it.
I hate mine too, and it's only a couple of years old. But it's not as though I have to look at it every day.
Don't worry, Allied, you only have another five years to go, and you can change it when you replace the passport

saxy_jag - You do not have to declare a passport as lost to renew it before expiration. You can renew a standard adult 10-year passport whenever you want to...
