Normandy Battlefield Tour
I am looking to book a tour for 4 adults next year to tour the D Day landing beaches etc. There are so many advertised on the net and i was wondering whether anyone in the UK (South Wales) could recommend a reputable coach/holiday company?

I don't know of any tour companies who go to this site, but I believe Leger Coach Holidays provide trips to the places of interest you seek. If not, the War Graves Commission are very helpful. They detail information on the internet. I hope you manage to go, and have a memorable trip.
'Major and Mrs. Holt's Battlefield Tours' are very
experienced operators in this field. You can find
them on the web.
I have toured the Normandy battlefields several times
but always independently. I took my car and, with a
good guide book, saw everthing I wanted to see. Easy.
Guidebooks for sale at the Arromanches beachside
museum, or the war museum at Pegasus Bridge
The Novotel Hotel in Bayeux is a good place to stay
and there are plenty more in Caen.
Don't miss the lovely museum in St.Pierre Eglise
and parts of the Atlantic Wall above the Omaha
beachhead.
The Channel crossings to Le Havre or Caen are
very convenient for this trip. Just go....

Why not do what I do with a group of friends; book rooms at the Hotel de la Marine in Arromanches-les-Bains. Go by car on Brittany Ferry from Portsmouth to Ouistreheham. Arromanches is only half an hour from there. You are then within easy driving distance of all the major D Day sites; Omaha Bedach, Pont du Hoc, Pegasus Bridge, the Merville Battery, St. Mere Eglise etc etc. It make a wonderful holiday,
