I wanna move back to the U.S.A

I am an american citizen but I am living in England with my dad.I want to move back to america and go to college and then maybe university.The only problem is that when I was in america when I was 11-12 that because i was learning the same stuff as the 13-14 year olds i got put in classes with them.I ended up making really close friends so i want to move back.The only thing is is that im not sure how things work over there like when do they graduate high school and how old are they and like when and how old are they when they start college and stuff like that.Im also not sure how you convert gsces and stuff into a way that the americans would understand to even let me into college!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

If you care about the quality of your education, then you are unlikely to come out with better or more widely accepted qualifications/results by going through an American system. Only if you compare poor schools/universities in UK/Europe with the best US ones is there no real contest. To attend the best ones in the US is likely to involve high expense in addition to not being in the area of former friends. You are correct that switching systems involves a lot of work, both on paper and in terms of patience and effort - I am not qualified to advise on this but I know of one or two who have done this and lost years in the process. On a general note, be warned that you are likely to see past places/friendships/experiences in a significantly rosy way after years away and it is not unlikely that you would find things do not meet your expectations on return.
