What is the simplest way to emigrate to Canada, USA or Oz? Can I literally go over to the US, buy a house cash and live there? I know you have to get an immigration visa to stay, but can I stay for 12months on a UK passport, come back home, then go back?

Sorry if this question is a bit vague, but I don`t really know how it works. I`m not really serious about moving yet, just a possible option in the future.

Also, is there some kind of mortgage / finance you can take out over here for a property abroad.

Thanks in advance.

you will only be allowed to stay for 90 days on a visa waiver, other then that you will need a proper visa from the us embassy,to live and work in any of the countries you mention, you have to go to the embassies and go through a process, you cant just go and live and work there, just like that.
In the USA or Australia, you do need someone to sponsor you before you can live there permanently. This can takes years of waiting, you also have to prove that you have enough money if you are unable to work.
Sponsors normally have to be relatives unless you are offered a job that no citizen will accept.
The waiting list to emigrate to USA is quite a few years, even with a sponsor.
