not in midsummer, way too hot; March or so is nice. It depends what you want to do. For beaches, Sharm is fine. For ruined temples and the Valley of the Kings, Luxor. For cruises, Luxor or Aswan. For the pyramids, Cairo.
Our Egyptian guide said that, in terms of weather, March and November were the best months. Nice and warm, but not too hot and humid. We were there in the November and we had temperatures in the high twenties with lots of lovely sunshine, just right, we could do the sightseeing in comfort.
We went to Sharm in January and it was lovely! It was chilly in the mornings and eveneings but during the day it was lovely and warm but not too hot.

Generally, March and October are the best months to visit Egypt as it's warm and nice, and not too hot. You can enjoy the beach season, scuba diving, visit the Pyramids when the heat is bearable, and relax in the mineral springs of the Siwa Oasis.
