You are aware a tube ticket/pass gives you access to buses as well? Therefore this may broaden your scope as to where to stay.

Yeah, but dont wanna really travel on the buses. Cant be bothered with everyone coughing and stuff.
I drive a car so dont like travelling on buses. the tubes i dont mind cos there is always some eye candy to look at whilst your waiting...
I would say you are more close to coughing peasants on the tube than you are on london Buses these days.

There are loads of cheap places around Victoria station. Many of them are listed on the excellent Hostelworld website. (Don't be put off by the word 'hostel' in the site name; it also lists cheap hotels and B&Bs. Just use the 'additional search options', selecting both 'Budget hotels' and 'Guesthouses').

Where a sufficient number of people have recently reported on an hotel, the results page will show a percentage satisfaction score. However, even those hotels with no scores shown often have reviews which you can read. Just click on the hotel details and then on the 'Reviews' tab.

cheers. Is it ok to take women back?
That will vary from one hotel to another. in practice, most places won't even notice.
