Which is cheaper to travel around london-bus? or metro underground?

i know a cab ride can be expensive if there is no alternative-unless you split the fare....

if you buy a "travelcard" for 1 or 3 days it's valid for bus & tube journeys within the zones paid for, also for most national rail & some river journeys (within your zones).
