I think it might have been Ambassador, i'll dig out the old photos when i get chance and let you know. Anyway, i booked it through Thomson as i was an overseas rep for them at the time and got fantastic discounts, did a 4 night cruise from Aswan to Luxor and then 3 nights at the Luxor Sheraton. All the excursions were included in the price with the exception of a day trip to Hurgarda, which was just being built at the time and was exceptionally dull in comparisson to the others.
I looked at the price of them recently and for what you get they're very good value, just pay the extra hundred or so for the top of the range, some of the hotels looked great from outside but were rotten inside. Same goes for the boats. Onboard the service was wonderful, the food was great, only one person got a bad tummy and that was from having ice in a cafe on a day trip. The views as you sail along are breathtaking and they provide entertainment in the evening too.
I would go back in a flash, even paying full whack this time!

The earliest we were out for an excursion was 6am. Pray tell which excursion requires a 4am start? The whole point of going somewhere like the Nile is to see the temples, tombs and everything else, not to laze around a pool or by the sea. The Red Sea resorts offer plenty of relaxation and snorkelling etc if you don't want to see any of the history.
