Comfort Inn Manhattan + New York TV shows
5 Answers
Has anyone stayed in the Comfort Inn Hotel in Manhattan, opposite the Empire State Building? What is it like?
Also does anyone know how/where do I apply, to get tickets to see any TV shows whilst I am in New York. Either those going out live, or recorded, for example CSI New York?
Thanks.

Well, theyre slightly economical with the truth. The Empire State building is at 32nd and 5th. But it isnt that far off. The hotel was once a resident hotel that had fallen into a rather tragic state of repair. It has had a slap-up renovationwhich means they just want to sell the property. Personally, Id prefer you to be at one of the Courtyards over a comfort inn. Theyre all independently owned and the management styles can be diverse.
Interesting note about being part of a show: On different days, just outside of Rockefeller Centre (on the 5th avenue side), well-scrubbed happy face youthswho have the friendliness of the Latter Day Saints approach people, inviting them to participate in live shows. Its absolutely free. Additionally, on the south west corner of the ice skating ring at Rockefeller Centre is the NBC Today Show news centre. Visitors often queue up there with cards that they hold up to say hi to friends at home. Its all part of the visit New York free concept. For further information, go to:
