Upgrades on BA & Qantus

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the best way to get an upgrade on your flight?? I know ladies must dress smart...I am also willing to pay for an upgrade at check-in........but not the extra �3000 that the travel agency wants!!! As they said they could only upgrade my WHOLE ticket and I would only be looking at up grading my long haul flights 5 in total.

It's very difficult to get any upgrade with BA unless you've paid top price for your ticket. If you buy a cheap ticket then it's almost impossible as they'll upgrade Executive Club members first according to their membership class. Saying that I have had more than a few upgrades with BA.

Hi,

I am an executive Club member just joined so Im only a Blue member. My ticket is a round the world ticket but not sure what class of ticket I am within World Traveller. Think may have to just ask when I check in if there is any availabilty would it be possible to pay to be up graded!! See if that works!!

could you just upgrade to their premium class? Cheaper than club.

I flew with BA to New York earlier in the year, we asked at the check in desk if there was ay chance of an upgrade. We were told, 'no, not on this flight'.
However, when it came to boarding the plane, we handed in our passes and were told that we had been upgraded!! We were upgraded from economy (world traveller) to world traveller plus. Looking on the web I think it was about �300 per person worth of upgrade!!!
Worth the ask I'd say!!
