I noticed that Ryanair flies to Glasgow Prestwick. How far is this from the centre of glasgow, and do they provide a bus to get you there? Wondering if its worth it for the saving.

it's 32 miles from Prestwick to central Glasgow.

Ryanair don't provide a bus, but there are frequent bus & train services direct from the airport to Glasgow city centre.

Bus= Stagecoach Western X77, train=First ScotRail. Both are every 30mn most of the day, and both advertise a journey time of 45-50mn.
If you show your flight confirmation, and photo ID, you get rail travel at half price. The full fares are 5.85 single and 10.35, so that means that you can buy a return ticket for around a fiver:

Chris
There's a moving walkway from the terminal building to the railway station. Timetable here: http://www.firstgroup.com/scotrail/tt/11885537 82-strath%20w&clyde.pdf

You get a discount on the train (can't remember how much) if you have a plane ticket. Just as easy, and no more expensive, than if you fly into Glasgow International.
Apologies Chris, I'm a slow typer.
The Stagecoach X77 will cost around 7.50. I've got no idea why they called it 'Glasgow' Prestwick with the slogan 'Pure Dead Brilliant'.
I know, that slogan is an embarassment and its not even Glasgow!! its ayrshire lol
And Glasgow isnt pure dead brilliant in any case lol
in Ryanairspeak, calling Prestwick "Glasgow" is a little more accurate that calling Hahn "Frankfurt"..............
..or calling Torp "Oslo"!
