visa waiver programe
Hi Guys
I hope some one can help me. I am going to the usa next year under the visa waiver programe with my partner but have discovered he has a criminal record. He has been convicted of posession of a class c drug, and has been to jail for twoc and criminal damage but as a youth. We dont have time to apply for a visa. I booked this as a surprise which has back fired. He was too embarressed to tell me about it bless him.
I have read a few answers on other forums and such but they didnt really help me as they were all i think.
I want to no if we go and dont declare his record will we get found out and i would espeshially like to here from people who have recently been with a drugs conviction.
I hope you can help. Thanks x

You probably can get in on the VWS, as others have said. Many UK posters seem to treat arrests, convictions, jailings, as rather a joke; Americans do not.
The fact your BF has been jailed twice, and with 100% certainty, that means he is not eligible to enter legally on the VWS. He almost certainly would not get a visa if he went to the embassy either.
Consensus would say, go in on the VWS, they won't know, don't worry. I'd say, they're probably right, but if USC&BP do, expect to be deported and never allowed back.
