Who woudl the governign body be for me to complain to if i wasnt happy with the company(BA) themselves?

Hi Neil. There is a body which after a fashion deals with passenger complaints - try [email protected]. They are somewhat limited in what they do but they will consider contacting the airline direct if you have got nowhere. The outcome is much in the hands of the airline but you will at least have a way to prod. BA took a good while to deal with my claim earlier this year and I was left with the impression persistence is required to follow up "lost cheques", etc. Best of luck. Karl
