I will be travelling to South Africa for my honeymoon in 6 weeks' time. As our actual destination is a surprise could you advise me which jabs I need. It is entirely possible we will be "on safari" for a week. Thanks.

My daughter is in SA at the moment. She checked with her GP and followed his advice. A couple of (free) jags but �30 for malaria tablets! Would suggest you contact your GP and have a great time.

South Africa is an immense country and health requirements vary considerably depending where you go and what you do. Whoever is organising the surprise must give you this information. They should already have the health requirements from the tour/trip organiser. They don't have to spoil the surprise, just tell you what you need. Its pointless asking a doctor advice without detailed info of where you where you are going and what you are doing.
