We're off to Mrs 4GS's work 'do' in Birmingham on Saturday night. We've booked the hotel and arrive about 10AM Saturday morning, which leaves us the day to sight-see, so, any ABer know of any places of interest in Brum?

there is the German christmas market in town along with the outdoor ice rink in centenery square, the thinktank which is like a hands on museum, the bullring which has some great shops, the sea life centre.

nope!!! i would avoid brum like a bad cold, its dire, its spot the white person from wot i`ve seen on my few visits!!!! and if u drive just out of brum, its a dump!! boarded shops, litter and hoodies, and a mini pakistan!!!!

try london, more fun, and miss the party, its not nice is brum

i would rather live in a mobile home in Barry than visit there again

no worries!!!! i have a mate in knowle, which seems quite nice, a bit snooty, but nice and not at all brummyfied!!! and they speak refined, rather than with that annoying nikki from xfactor voice, god shes annoying!!! she squeaks and her voice goes up and down like a roller coaster! no wonder shes out!!!

i was offered a job once in sparkbrook!!! i visited it and cancelled the interview!!! ugh

nikki is from tamworth which is not in birmingham. birmingham is a very large city, the city centre much like every other (london,manchester) is geared towards tourism, but all these big cities have problems in their outskirts much like birmingham.

Do you think the country is getting even more refined as a whole the more immigrants we squeeze in?

Time to look around you and stop judging a place based on one small part. all cities have their problems now.
