I think you will find - as I have - that there is no such thing as cheap insurance when you have a pre-existing condition. However what you can do is take out insurance that excludes your pre-existing condition - ie you would be covered for anything else like a broken leg, heart attack etc etc as long as it was nothing to do with the leukaemia. That way you can get fairly cheap insurance.

I have Emphysema and excluded that from my policy as I did not believe that it would cause me to be hospitalised. However when I had a fall in Las Vegas and incurred $5000 expenses in X-rays, CAT scan etc the insurance paid up for this.
Further to my previous posting. The question is, if your leukemia re -occurred when you were on holiday would it necessitate a hospital visit or a repatriation - or would it wait until you returmed to the UK? If the answer is wait until return to UK then declare the situation to the insurers but exclude anything to do with leukaemia.
If you 'google' travel insurance leukemia' you will find many sites that will offer you insurance - you'll just have to trawl through them for price comparison.
As JK2 states, getting cheap travel insurance may prove difficult. See this page from the BBC website, quoting the concerns of the charity Cancerbackup:

Fortunately, Cancerbackup does more than just issue press releases. The charity provides a factsheet about travel insurance, which lists many possible sources of insurance:
