I need to get to the copthorne hotel in manchester from the airport...what is the cheapest way of doing it? How close is the hotel from the train station? Or should I take the bus and then walk to it once in the centre?

we went to the copthorne a few years ago from the train station we got a taxi dont think it was very far

sorry i have been out for a drink tonight i meant to say it was'nt very far from the station in a taxi if it cost a lot i am sure i would have remembered

It would not cost that much more for the convenience of getting a taxi straight to the hotel from the airport. The Copthorne is at Salford Quays, which is not really within walking distance of Manchester city centre. I am local to Manchester.

according to Manchester Airport Taxis, about �30 one way.

easiest way using public transport is train to manchester piccadilly then get a tram going to eccles and alight at salford quays. this leaves you with a 5mn walk.
