australia -brisbane trip
My parents and I want to visit family in Oz this year but the climate in Brisbane is so humid that being elderly in their 80` they couldn`t cope with heat. When is the best time to go ?Also if my dad was to go on his own is there any website where people can link up if travelling alone for first time so they have someone to travel with?.I know the airline would look after him but it would be nice to have a companion.
Could there be a website for relatives with families in Oz perhaps?Thank you!

most airlines look after the elderly very well on long haul, but it would be wise to get on to the airline [ have all details handy] and let them know in advance i.e. travelling alone, first trip etc and you may be lucky and find he gets a free upgrade, so they can keep an eye on him, but they dont usually upgrade two.Although Virgin is the exception they reserve bulk head seats for the disabled if informed when booking.
Thank you dee sa! I think it`s looking likely he`ll be going on his own with Singapore Airlines who rest of family have already used this year. It`s me that`s worrying about Heathrow/Singapore stop etc.Was just hoping that there might be a website for expats where they could put people in touch with each other travelling to Oz,I know he`ll be well looked after really!I know you can advertise for companion but then you`d have to pay for them!!!
