Hen Weekend Suggestions Please

I need some ideas on where to go for my hen weekend at the end of June? I live in Manchester and dont want to travel more than 100 miles really on the train. I need somewhere lively, ( but not totally mad ) with cheapish ( 50 pppn ) accomodation with things to do during the day too. TIA

Blackpool's a bit cheesey but thanks for the quick answer. Cant fly - got a preggers bridesmaid who wants to come.

I live in cumbria,and alot from our area go either to dublin or to blackpool, funny girls in blackpool is a very popular venue, it's a famous gay bar, you'd have a fantastic night. theres lots of B and B's, and plenty to do through the day.xxx

why not go to Chester, it is excellent and caters for decent folk out on the razzle not the saddos that go to Blackpool to get arrested for drunk and disorderly

Thanks everyone. Defo not going to Blackpool, im just not keen. I suggested Chester and both my cousin & h2b's sister said they didnt rate it ( Ive never been ). I was thinking Newcastle but someone has said its rough but I suppose everywhere is nowadays ( I sound old, not 25 lol )

Susan if you dont fancy blackpool,and you cant fly you could always get the ferry across to dublin, where ever you choose i hope you have a great time.xxx

If you don't fancy Blackpool (I don't blame you,I live about 10 miles away from it) how about Morecambe? Or if you don't mind travelling to the east coast Scarborough is a good night out.

I guess it is more than 100 miles....but you could come down to Plymouth. There is a large (but intelligent I am told) student population.....so lots of trendy and cheap bars and clubs. It also seems to be one long hen night in most areas where the clubbers are. :-)
