I'm looking for the name of some all-inclusive resorts in the Rio area-I've tried googling but can't seem to find any.

Have you looked at First Choice. They do all inclusive holidays in the Salvador/Natal area combined with a few days in Rio. I suspect that there are no all inclusive holdays in the Rio area - I haven't seen any advertised.
The all inclusive holidays seem to be in the Natal area with Thomsons also.

Rio's a big city with some beaches rather than a resort town, so I'd follow JK2's advice.
