Suggestions please!
2 Answers
My boyfriend and I are planning to go away for our first holiday together at the end of March. The trouble is we have no real idea where to go! We are hoping to get a late deal which is reasonably cheap, so I know that we cant be too fussy. As it is our first holiday together we would like to go somewhere nice and special (we dont fancy Blackpool in the sun! sorry, dont want to sound snobby!) so based on your past experiences, do any ABers have any suggestions?! Many thanks in advance :o)

Not only would they be able to make some suggestions and recommendations but they would also do the searching for you to get the best deal.
Trawling the internet & booking your own is ok if you know what you want. If you do go on the internet, make sure that the website is a member of ABTA & ATOL so that your holiday is covered should the company fail.

First thing I would do is check the weather at the end of March/beg. April for places. You may find that lots of 'holiday destinations' may not be hot and sunny this early in the year.
Are you looking at European places?
Majorca is lovely - yes there are places on the island like Blackpool, but lots more places that are lovely and if you hire a car you can go inland to some fab villages.
I guess a lot of the late, cheap deals may be to areas of the Med which are very built up and 'English', this will be due to the large volume of hotel room that they are trying to fill.
Have fun looking though - as the previous post said, check out an agents. Just make sure they know the things that you want or don't want out of it, so they can recommend accordingly.
