Morning All,

Been up since stupid o'clock with this sore throat thing again. Only thing is I was feeling better but on one side my glands are still swollen and I now have ear ache; (weirdly my throat only hurts on one side too).

Anyway, as you all know (at great length) I've been whinging about this for the best part of a week now so it must have about run its course now? Do I really need to go to quacks?

Cheers
China

Moring China, yes you better get to the drs, have you had your tonsils out? maybe it is that, I don't know what that would feel like but you should get it checked missy. :-)

Thanks for yesterday China, learnt a lot.
Morning China, not stopping. Just passing through. Yes, you do need to see a doctor. It's gone on too long now. Think of the band. Got to protect that singing voice.
Awww , China honey , yes and defo , you would be best to see your GP . Sorry you are having a rough time of it sweetie :-) xxxxx

Cheers peeps, I was sort of hoping you wouldn't say that. I'm in London at moment and quacks is in Guildford and although due back today I didn't feel like going back as sofa is nicer than train for recovery position. Nuts. Ah well....

Sparky, you're very welcome, thanks for asking about it. Give hellie my love too if you're in touch with her; she doesn't sound like she's having a good time at the moment.
Why don't you pop into a chemist and ask them what they think, ask to see the pharmacist don't get fobbed off by a silly young girl who knows nothing. pharmacists are nearly as good as doctors nowadays and he or she will let you know if you need to see your GP.
Are there any doc clinics in London where you can drop-in and be seen ?

Not a bad idea gelda, might just do that.

I don't bigmamma... I'm waiting for my mum to wake up so I can ask her. Isn't it great how at thirty this year I revert back to being three the minute I'm a bit ill and at my mums! I bet if I was in Guildford I wouldn't be feeling half so sorry for myself... :c)
Awwww , I think that's sweet , we never stop needing our mums :-) xxxxx
Good morning China and all,

The pharmacist at my local chemist is really good.
Sometimes when I have mild ailments I often ask his opinion. He is better than my doctor.

Have you tried sucking a fisherman's friend?

Could be how this all started Myriad!
sounds like the virus thats doing the rounds here in the midlands. Not a nice one but its lasting well over a week for most people here. I would definitely go to the docs though to get it checked out and make sure you dont have an ear infection.

Hope you feel better soon xx
China get to the quacks pronto girlie, if you haven't already done so! You don't want to be doing any permanent damage to your throat.
And thank you for the above, I am ok thanks, and for your message on Ray's post last night.
