Hi do you think i should declare a conviction for theft 24 years ago i was 21 at the time and was fined 50,or should i just tick no to the question about convictions on the green card on the flight. Has anyone else done this recently and got away with it?

Or should i apply for a visa at the US Embassy in London and what's my chances of approval
I wouldn't bother applying for a visa; just tick the box on the visa waiver form that says no convictions for crimes involving drugs or moral turpitude.
Legally you should apply for a visa - as it was 24 years ago you should have no problems whatsoever getting one. If it was recent (don't ask me what that means) then you'd probably get refused.

In reality if you tick 'no' you will get in with no problems.
Again I agree with DZug
have u been how did u get on?

Hi
I decided to apply for a visa, I had to attend an interview at the belfast consulate because that was no availible appointment times left for London, I was in the interview for about 5 minutes, she asked me about my conviction, didnt bother to look at any of my papers i brought and wished me a happy vacation.
