Further to Wee Willie's post:

Marmaris is 105 km (65 miles) from Dalaman airport. The one-way taxi fare is 55 or it takes 90 minutes by bus, with a fare of YTL23 (about 10).

If you're going to Marmaris take some time out to visit Dalyan. don't do the "trip" as you can get a dolmus from the bus station which takes about an hour and is much more interesting and a bit of local flavour. In Dalyan you can take a boat trip to Itzuzu beach or to the mud baths. Dalyan is my favourite place in Turkey but take plenty of mozzie repellant. Enjoy your hols.

Hi Willie,no i have never been to Mamaris but i have been to Bodrum twice, loved it.I have just got back from tenerife where i met 2 elderly (80's)gentlemen and they have a house out there and they have invited myself and my sister out there in May so i was checking flights etc.You must go and have a look for yourself, you wont be disappointed.
Marmaris is the last place to visit in Turkey - Turkish Blackpool.
Any other place is fantastic.
