Depends on how old your mum is! I would say yeah depending on what time of year you go. I've been to Laganas in July a couple of times now and it's dead lively full of youngsters (the new Faliraki) but during the quieter months (September/October/May) it would be a wonderful place. It is full to the brim of kareoke bars so as long as your mum likes a drink and a sing song she will be ok! Other than that, go into Zante town and stay there. It is right on the harbour and it looks like somewhere an "older person" would enjoy. Zante is steeped in history so she may even like to visit the museum. There was an earthquake in Zante in 1953 and the whole island was flattened except for the church in Zante town. I think she would love it. For any more info go to www.justzante.co.uk although this is mainly aimed at youngsters I think but give it a go and see. And have a good time if you do decide to go!
