Uluru (Ayers Rock) in Australia is given as 2 miles long, 1 miles wide and 348m high, (ignoring the further 3 miles below the desert surface.). How do you calculate the volume ?

Australia has a population of 20,434,176 (July 2007 est.)

If it was carved up amongst Australians how much (cu ft) would each one get

start by putting it all into imperial (miles, feet etc) or all into metric. Then multiply them together for a cubic measurement, pr9bably in feet or metres. Then divide by the 20 million. There should be a calculator on your computer.

Thanks. The question was written badly. The shape is not a box but like half an airship. (is it ellipsoidal ? ) It is the formula for that shape that I meant.
4/3 'pi' x 2.25 miles x 1.5 miles x 348 m x 0.5

you will have to convert to all metric or all imperial
