Looking at the petrol prices, why don't you use bike because at least you know you can get back even if we do not have petrol at all (Future seems bright) just before your return journey.

is there anyone who lives in the midlands, who have drove to cornwall before. ?? my friends are having a debate about how much petrol it will cost, best of it is these ppl dont even drive lol. think there just being tight and want a free lift there and back :)
HERE IS A SENSIBLE ANSWER FOR YOU:

Presumably this is Oldbury B69?? And you didn't say where to in Cornwall BUT ........ Oldbury to Truro for example is 153 miles ..... and I should imagine you car does about 35 miles to the gallon (of you don't drive like a bat out of hell!!!) and there are 4.5 litres in a gallon - therefore you car does about 8 miles to the litre ..... so 153 miles divided by 8 means you need 19 litres of fuel, which means that at, say, 1.20 a litre it will cost you about 23 ........... in other words too bl**dy much!!!!!
EK
^^^ A (mostly) sensible answer except that Oldbury to Truro is closer to 250 miles.
kempie - that was the distance given by multimap ..... am sure our friend can work it out from my answer - at least it was a sensible attempt, unlike the others
I'm intrigued why Multimap was so drastically wrong in its calculation of the distance. Perhaps this is the result of an insidious plot by Microsoft to increase the quantity of fuel available to US consumers by tricking Brits into thinking the UK is smaller than it really is.
Possibly Kempie - would not put anything past them .......
Multumap just told me it's 245.45 miles from Oldbury to Truro. Mind you, it also told me that Oldbury is in Birmingham, which will probably be almost as abhorrent to Oldburians as it is to me, a Brummie born and bred!
