Is she mobility restricted?
if so the 2 best things in my opinion are
1) the oxford story 9you get to sit down all the way)
2)the open topped bus tour. Make sure yu get on the green one with the live guide
Unfortunately, the Oxford Story (which would have also been close to the top of my list of recommendations) closed down at the end of October last year.

I'm not sure that the 'Oxford Classic Tour' buses are running any longer either. The only open top bus service, on the city's official website, is now the City Sightseeing service, which uses red buses:

If the weather's good, the University Botanic Gardens are lovely:

Chris
no way!!!!
chris, i'm really disappointed! i cant believe the unbelievably Naff oxford story has finished and i wont be ever able to go on it's ricckety cars again. The green buses were the best because i used to stay on it for hours if i had a difficult deision to make (one day i even took the paper my packed lunch and my walkman: i used to just find the motion soothing! They changed the guide every hour, meaning you would get different things each time
Damn and botheration!
