I have just booked to stay at gatwick hilton the day before we fly to florida, i know its going to be expensive there but i have only booked to stay there for the convenience of it being located in the terminal building.

What i want to know is how much of gatwick airport will be accessible for me regarding shops ,pubs, eating places etc... on the day before i fly?

I dont want to be held ransom at the hilton and pay their prices.

Being from Gatwick myself I can tell you that there are loads of shops, cafes and restaurants to go to in the airport.

There is also a huge Tescos which is walking distance to you that has a starbucks coffee in and you also have the town of Horley, which is not large by any means but has again some nice pubs, restaurants etc. All in walking distance too.

Enjoy Florida :)

Thank you so much ice, my mate works at gatwick, just cant get hold of him right now.
I wouldn't fancy the walk to Tescos Icey! Particularly if I didn't know the way.

No prob getting into the terminals from there, or there is a Maccy Ds at the road exit from the South Terminal
when we stayed at the hilton we went into the terminal to eat and drink in the evening - and your right you wont want to pay hilton prices but you wont have to!
