Next summer, I may be taking a trip to Toronto, Canada from New York. The trip will be short (only two or three days at the most) because I am only going to see a concert. I am taking a ferry from Rochester to Toronto.
I've never traveled out of the country before. Will I need a passport, even though this will be a short stay?
Also, I am 16 years old. I will be traveling with an adult, but no one related to me. Could this cause a problem?
go here ...http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index.html i don't think your unrelated companion will be an issue but double check rather than take my word for it. who you going to see in Toronto? (fantastic city by the way)
Thank you for your answer! I will check out that site.
I plan on going to Toronto to see Hanson when they play there again. =) I've met many of their Canadian fans and I think they're awesome, so I'd really love to see Hanson perform there.
I've checked this with friends on both sides of the border, you do not need a passport but you will need plenty of other ID such as birth certificate, proof of residence etc and you may still get delayed.
Their advice was to get a passport
You definetly will need a passport for both countries and you must also check out if you need a visa. Do this sooner rather than later at these things take time.
